Venturing back to America: Part 1

I'm back in America!

Highlights of my trip so far:

Wednesday, Feb 13: I landed at Dulles in northern Virginia, and when I walked out of the airport to meet my brother, there were huge, awesome snowflakes falling.  I thought we were in the middle of a huge blizzard.  But, actually, the snow had just begun.  It didn't last long, and didn't affect traffic at all.  But, it was a beautiful welcome back to America.

Friday, Feb 15: I got to participate in the Leadership Institute's public speaking workshop.  It was extraordinary.

Sunday through Thursday: Spent time with different family members, in different parts of Virginia, and spent time at the Prayer Room.  I love my family, and spending time with people whose hearts are on fire for God.

This weekend's highlight: The Justice Conference is taking place in Philadelphia, with Christian leaders gathering to address social justice issues.  Happily, in addition to all the learning and connecting that happens at conferences like this, I get to spend time with people I know from The Vine Church in Hong Kong.  Small world!
